Qlyvr Tales helps parents and caregivers create personalized, age-appropriate stories for children. This Privacy Policy explains what information Qlyvr Tales collects, how it is used, when it is shared, how long it is retained, and the choices available to users.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Qlyvr Tales, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, authentication information, and account status.
• Story personalization information: a child's first name or nickname, age, selected genre, theme, virtue, voice, and optional supporting-character names and relationships that you choose to provide.
• Generated and saved content: story text, saved-story details, and audio associated with stories.
• Usage information: story-generation counts, subscription tier, feature usage, and similar information used to provide limits and account features.
• Technical and security information: an anonymous device/session identifier, IP address, and limited request information used to operate the service, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and protect accounts.
• Payment and subscription information: subscription status and payment-related identifiers. Payment card details are handled by the applicable payment processor and are not stored directly by Qlyvr Tales.

3. How We Use Information

• To create personalized stories and narration requested by the user.
• To create and manage accounts, saved stories, subscriptions, and usage limits.
• To authenticate users and support sign-in options.
• To moderate generated content and maintain a safe, age-appropriate experience.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and circumvention of free-use limits.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

4. Third-Party Service Providers and AI Services

Qlyvr Tales uses service providers only as needed to operate the app. Information may be transmitted to these providers for the purposes described below:

• Base44: application hosting, authentication, backend functions, database, and file storage.
• Anthropic: generation of personalized story text. Story prompts may include the child name or nickname, age, genre, theme, virtue, and optional supporting-character information supplied by the user.
• OpenAI: content-safety moderation and text-to-speech narration. Generated story text may be transmitted for moderation and audio generation.
• Google: authentication when a user chooses Continue with Google.
• Stripe: payment and subscription processing where Stripe checkout or billing services are offered.

We do not sell personal information. We require service providers that receive user information to process it only for the services they provide to us and to protect it using safeguards consistent with applicable law and the commitments described in this Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Qlyvr Tales is intended to be used by parents, guardians, and other adults to create stories for children. We do not ask children to create accounts or provide contact information. A parent or caregiver may choose to provide a child's first name or nickname, age, and story preferences solely to personalize a requested story. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information about a child. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

6. Data Retention

Account information is generally retained while an account remains active. Saved stories remain until the user deletes them or deletes the account. Usage records may be retained as needed to administer generation limits and subscriptions. Certain security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, transaction, backup, or legal records may be retained after account deletion when reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law. We do not retain information longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

7. Your Choices and Account Deletion

Users can delete saved stories and can delete their Qlyvr Tales account from within the app. Account deletion removes the user account and associated saved-story and account-linked usage records, subject to limited retention described above for security, fraud prevention, legal, backup, or payment-record purposes.

You may also stop using the service or withdraw from optional processing by not providing optional personalization information. Where consent is required by law, you may withdraw it prospectively.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. International Processing

Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
